        Benjamin Bertrand is an interdisciplinary artist originally from Idaho and currently based in Michigan pursuing a BFA at Eastern Michigan University (EMU). His work spans various mediums, including painting in watercolor and acrylic, printmaking, and mixed media. Benjamin has held several leadership roles, including Gallery Manager at Frame Works Plymouth, Vice President of EMU’s Intermedia Gallery Group, and intern under the Gallery Director at EMU. He has exhibited widely in both group and solo shows, with notable exhibitions at the Michigan State Capitol, Pontiac Creative Arts Center, and various galleries across Michigan. Drawing on his experience in gallery operations, Benjamin founded and coordinates The Exhibition[ist], a showcase celebrating LGBTQ+ artists. Through this platform, he works to create spaces that amplify queer voices and explore the intersection of sexuality and art.
